Lucy is a writer. She’s working on a book and planning her wedding. She walks in on her fiance in bed with one of her bridesmaids. She calls off the wedding and goes up to the cabin she spent time in as a young girl. It’s snowing hard as she drives up the mountain. She runs into a tree, putting her jeep out of service. She starts out on foot, only to pass out, falling face-first in the snow. When she comes to, she thinks she’s one of the characters from her book and she’s on her honeymoon. When her husband insists they’re not married, she thinks he drank too much wine and must have rolled out of bed, hitting his head. James finds this woman in the snow, and he takes her to his cabin. He realizes that she is the pesky friend of his sister who used to follow him around. Now it looks like she is going to be his houseguest for a while due to the snowstorm. When she comes to, she calls him “Edmond†and thinks they’re married. She must have hit her head pretty hard. Now both want to bring the other one back to reality, finding love was always there between them. They have to deal with her ex-fiance who shows up, out of the blue, wanting Lucy to come home.
